It’s hard to believe another Intel Solutions Summit is behind us. Thanks to all of our valued partners who attended ISS 2015. Intel Technology Providers play a vital role in our partner ecosystem, creating incredible solutions with Intel technology. We appreciate your inventiveness and enthusiasm!
This year, ISS was led by topics including innovation, the serendipitous timing of the Skylake-Windows 10 releases later this year, the focus on data center growth and more. All of this was set against the backdrop of empowering Intel Technology Providers. So, what else could we do but recognize some partners who really stood out in the past year. We are pleased to honor these Intel Technology Providers:
Partner of the Year: Big Data Solutions World Wide Technology, Inc.
World Wide Technology employs a unique team of Big Data scientists with advanced education and qualifications which consult with our customers to help them understand what areas of data correlation and analysis can most benefit their unique business models in order to deliver the highest returns. WWT can then help customers stand-up the necessary processes and infrastructure, starting with design, proof-of-concept and deployment in their organization. WWT then offers staging and deployment services to help these organizations roll out the solution within their organization.
Partner of the Year: Client Platform Compucom
CompuCom is one of Intel’s leading vPro Implementation partners in North America. They have custom deleveloped a vPro-enabled remote management tool with over 30 vPro-enabled easy button solutions for use with their call center technicians. They are currently deploying this solution into their customer base which includes over 4 million desktops and notebooks under management.
Partner of the Year: Channel Cares Northern Micro Inc.
Northern Micro, an Intel Technology Provider member since the very beginning of the program, donates in excess of $100,000 per year to various organizations focusing primarily on Cancer and Armed Forces related charities. In 2014 during its Partner Showcase, which attracts more than 500 IT specialist and decision makers, and for which Intel is the Platinum Sponsor, they raised over $40,000 for 4 different charity funds. A great example of sharing with those in needs with similar goals to Intel’s “Give Back” campaign.
Partner of the Year: Enthusiast Platform Origin PC
ORIGIN PC delivers the best gaming experience by using the best parts and technology the computer gaming industry has to offer. They offer a practically infinite number customizations on their system builds and lifetime support.
Partner of the Year: Public Sector Solutions Rave Computer Association, Inc.
Rave designed an Intel Xeon-based Image Generator to refresh the U.S. Army’s “Conduct Of Fire Trainer – Situational Awareness” technical refresh contract, which provides synthetic gunnery trainers for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and imposes strict Size Weight and Power (SWaP) constraints. Rave was required to match or exceed the performance, features of the incumbent, AMD, and recommended custom-designed 2U rackmount servers powered by the Intel Xeon E3-1225 processor and Intel SSD 530 series – for their superior energy efficiency and lower cost combined with higher performance. These claims were supported by the results of extensive internal benchmarking, which were provided to the customer. After performing validation testing on the first article suite provided by Rave, the customer was extremely pleased with the superior size, weight and performance of the new systems and purchased over 750 units, with a forecast of 1,000 more units in CY2015. The CEO of Oasis actually contacted the CEO of Rave to advise that based on the exceptional solution they expect to use the same system for additional projects.
Partner of the Year: Healthcare Solutions Dedicated Computing
Dedicated Computing worked with a leading manufacturer of life science instruments and analytical systems to design and develop an integrated solution to meet their reliability and performance computing needs. Leveraging our market and technical expertise and emerging technology from Intel, we were able to dramatically reduce the customer’s time to market, remove performance bottlenecks, improve uptime and reduce mean time-to-repair. Additionally, the team delivered the fastest storage subsystem available today to meet the demands of higher data acquisition rates and the highest compute performance to reduce analysis time, enabling shorter runtimes.
Partner of the Year: HPC Technical Computing Platform Colfax
Colfax has helped usher an era of ‘HPC application parallelization’ by providing a complete suite of HPC solution comprising turnkey Xeon Phi-based developer systems, pre-installed Intel development software and a copy of Colfax’s critically-acclaimed Xeon Phi programmer book. Their ready-to-go development systems have made it easier and faster for scientific researchers and software developers to parallelize/modernize code and develop applications for Xeon Phi. Colfax created visual demos running on their development systems were also used by Intel for events worldwide.
Partner of the Year: Hybrid Cloud Solutions Redapt
Redapt worked closely with Intel Datacenter Group in 2014 to develop a go-to-market strategy around Software-Defined Instrastructure. They built a reference architecture to address the need for an “easy button” for private/hybrid cloud deployment using OpenStack and best-in-class Intel-based products. They were our launch partner for the Datacenter Manager Software Assurance Administrator product. Using this reference architecture, Redapt delivered scalable solutions advancing Intel’s SDI usage models and vision.
Partner of the Year: Internet of Things Platform National Instruments
National Instruments launched the industry’s first-ever Xeon-based PXI Embedded Controller. An 8-core, 2.3GHz Haswell-EP designed into a compact, rugged chassis which required close colaboration between Intel and National Instruments to meet the mechanical and thermal requirements for our Xeon products. National Instruments’s system runs Windows client and National Instruments’s Labview Real-Time OS providing the industry’s most powerful platform for IoT applications requiring intensive processing and high data throughput.
Partner of the Year: Retail Solutions Now Micro
Now Micro was able to present the customer an Intel architecture along with in-house design and vision to provide a solution to their real-world problems. Our experience has increased the customer’s confidence in our engineering staff and opened up conversations with new customers about larger digital signage opportunities. This and other projects have been instrumental in Now Micro offering NUC designed platforms to a variety of other customers with similar needs.
Partner of the Year: Smart City Building Solutions Eurotech
Eurotech is a strong Intel embedded partner and is one of the only Intel partners to combine hardware and software capabilities to create IoT solutions from Device-to-Cloud. Eurotech is also the first to adopt, build and deploy energy sensing technology concieved by Intel, known as Middle Peak.
Partner of the Year: Education Solutions CDW Corporation
CDW successfully grew the Chromebook category through a comprehensive solution offering in K-12 incorporating industry leading subject matter expertise, infrastructure configuration and deployment capabilities and industry partnerships with technology leaders including Intel and Google.
Partner of the Year: Marketing Excellence BOXX Technologies
BOXX and Intel worked closely together in 2014 and executed a comprehensive full-year marketing campaign to grow Xeon sales. It resulted in a 105 percent increase in new customers, 67 percent increase in revenue, 20 percent more units (YOY) and Xeon ASP of $1,295.
Partner of the Year: Mobile Platform Xplore Technologies
Xplore’s Bobcat tablet is a fully-rugged Windows 7 and 8 certified tablet. By utilizing a quad-core Baytrail Atom, the Bobcat tablet can provide the performance needed for a PC replacement while also providing the battery life and I/O features required for field use for users like field service workers, installation technicians, first responders and other demanding industries.
Partner of the Year: Mobile Solutions M&A Technology
M&A Technology worked closely with Volunteers of America to provide them with a mobile solution that would increase charitable contributions during events and be used by administrators. An Asus 2 in 1 was deployed that could be used as a tablet during events and productivity device during normal business hours. This solution was able to beat out iPad because of the flexibility and high useage of the asset that came in on budget.
Partner of the Year: Security Solutions Dimension Data North America
The objective of Dimension Data’s Network Threat and Visibility (NTX) service is to provide visibility into the network and threat activity for the requested office or data center location in a mobile and flexible service model. As part of Oracle’s high-level growth strategy, the client makes multiple acquisitions each year. Each acquisition can have multiple office and data center locations that will need to be migrated into the client standard operating environment. Prior to integrating these sites, client M&A supported by the Dimension Data NTC team will work with the acquired company site contacts to understand the security posture of each site.
Partner of the Year: Server Platform ProSys Information Systems, Inc.
ProSys customized multiple OEM solutions for a major Data Center build-up and helped Intel to deliver over 14,000 Xeon E5 processors, 7,000 Intel SSDs and 3,500 Intel NICs, for a significant impact on Intel revenue.
Partner of the Year: Training for Results Insight
In 2014, Insight sales representatives took greater than two-thirds of all of the Reseller Edge courses completed by the entire channel. Insight is dedicated and fully committed to training their sales representatives, as is evidenced by achieving a record 8,000 training completions to date.
Partner of the Year: Workplace Transformation Solutions Vidyo, Inc.
Video communication used to be expensive and constrained to managed networks, limiting its usefulness and adoption. Vidyo has revolutionized the way real-time video collaboration takes place with a patented, all-software based architecture that performs brilliantly on unmanaged networks. The Vidyo HD40 family leverages the continuous and rapid performance gains of Intel’s NUC products to deliver their industry leading solution.
